Maura Coffey

Maura Coffey has been working as a Personal Trainer in the East Bay area for the past 16 years. AFFA certified, Maura currently teaches Zumba, Pilates and Boot Camp classes. Her classes are challenging, but the focus is always on enjoyment. "It's easier to work out when you are having fun," she says. She prefers teaching group classes to one-on-ones because of the motivational aspect of a combined challenge. She believes in the mind-body connection and thinks that working out can be "better than a psychotherapist". In her classes spirituality and sweat are not mutually exclusive. "You can be fun and peaceful and still get your butt kicked."

Jill Heterick

Jill Heterick is living proof that fitness is never an impossible goal. From 190 lbs to 116 lbs in two years, Jill lost 35.5% of her body fat through a combination of diet, cardio and strength training. Jill decided to make her personal triumph a professional inspiration. With her NABF training certification, Jill has recently begun working as a fitness instructor in the same gym where her own life was transformed. "People often feel self conscious going to a gym," she explains, "but the atmosphere here is so supportive." A better body might be the goal, but a better life is the result. "I have more energy, more confidence. It's about respecting yourself and making you the priority. Everything else will follow."

Trish Macgillivary

Trish Macgillivary is passionate about fitness. A certified high school soccer coach and race director for the Nayatt Elementary School PTO 5K run, she believes that there is room for fitness in anyone's life. At any age and at any level even a small commitment can improve your health and lifestyle. After completing a course in fitness training at CCRI Trish began teaching Boot Camp and BOSU classes at Body Natural. Her main goal as an instructor is to educate her students. "No one ever teaches you how to take care of your body, but it's the most important thing we have. We don't all need to be super athletes, but we should all know enough about fitness that we can lead healthy lives."
